About Department 

Welcome to the Department of Geography at Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, Kurukali. The Department was established in 1986. The college has fifteen departments, and the Department of Geography is one of them. The department was established to provide students with geographical knowledge and awareness.

Course Objective and Course Outcome

Programme Objectives : Programme B.A. Geography

 

1. To gain in-depth knowledge of the movement and fundamental climatological laws for a comprehensive grasp of physical geographical evolution.
2. To get the basic information of climatic instruments with its principles, structure, function and use.
3. To study the basics of Human Geography as a branch of Geography.
4. To analyze the spatial distribution of environmental problems and how geographical
Factors, such as location, climate, and landforms, influence these issues.
5. To learn the principles of effective map design and layout, create thematic maps, and use modern mapping technologies
6. To analyses the physiography, climate, and seasonal variations in Maharashtra,
Emphasizing their impact on human life and activities.
