About Department
The Department
of Zoology is an Under-graduate department came into existence in the month of
June, 1971. We run classes of B. Sc. I, II& III year for students. The intake capacity of the students per year
is 120. Syllabus of B.Sc. course is strictly based on UGC guide lines.
Vision:
To create a ‘Centre of Zoological study’ through the intellectual, infrastructure, support structure and adequate facilities inthe collegefor providing excellent knowledge of Zoology to the students.
Mission and Goals:
To offer wide range of knowledge
of Zoology to the students.
To perpetuate the information
regarding the taxonomy, habitats and life cycle of aminals.
To train the students in various
techniques in Zoology.
To create awareness among students
and society about conservation of wildlife and environmental protection through
study tours.
To develop research aptitude in
Zoology among young budding scientists during their undergraduate studies.

i. Organized One day Workshop on “Sericulture and Biological Pest Control”on
5th August, 2011 in Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, Kurukali.
ii. Organized
One Day Workshop for students on “Sketching
and Labeling Skills in Zoology” in Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, Kurukali
sponsored by Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, Kurukali on 29.07.2012.
iii. Organized
One Day Workshop on “Personality
Development –Soft skills” in Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, Kurukali on
29.07.2012.
iv. Organized One day Workshop on “Educational & Vocational Counseling”
On 3rd September 2013 in Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, Kurukaliin collaboration
with Psychology department, BMK.
v. . Organized One day Workshop on “Advanced Agri-Technology and Animal
Farming” on 24th December, 2016 in Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya,
Kurukali.
Vi. Organized One day Workshop on “Agriculture and Agri based Trades” on
23th December, 2017 in Bhogawati Mahavidyalaya, Kurukali.
